The Vintage Tea Party

The past couple of weeks have not been the most exciting I have mainly been working, reading and relaxing. Oh I am also the hunt for the perfect pair of navy shoes and a nice handbag that holds A4 so if you come across any please let me know. I am looking for navy shoes as for some reason lots of the clothes I bought in the sale on my trip home are navy or red and I just fancy a change from black...

However that is not what I want to tell you about. I wanted to tell you about a book I got from my Mum and Dad 'The Vintage Tea Party Book'

"a complete guide to hosting your perfect tea party..."

I actually got this book last Christmas and it is great to pick up and flick through to get ideas. The book is essentially a step by step guide to hosting the perfect traditional British tea party. Including numerous ideas and tips from invitation designs, how to make aprons, various sweet treats and even styling your clothing, hair and make-up.

If I had got my act together this book would have been the perfect guide to holding a Jubilee party for my friends but we live and learn... Although I must admit this week I have been having a good old tidy up and  moving furniture around so I am looking forward to having some friends round and trying a few things. I will definitely keep you posted when I do but until then if you are interested in vintage, baking and tea this is the book for you.

Here are some photos of the book...
