The past couple of weeks have been rather hectic hence the lack of posts I have been working on a photoshoot for Uni and had to go home to look after my grandparents etc etc...
I hadn't been home for about 5 months so it was good to see family and friends. I also had a chance to tell my Nana what I wanted her to knit for when I go home at Christmas and get a picture with her for all you lovely people to see
This is a picture of my mum and dad in their younger years now I don't know if you can make it or id his denim waistcoat is in the way (which I now have I may add) but my dad's jumper has a red motorbike on. I decided I wanted a replica jumper, trouble is my Nana didn't have the pattern any more. So for months my Dad searched the internet looking for a similar pattern he finally got one off Ebay that must have been at least 30yrs old and for a wee boy but it had a motorbike and that is all that mattered. I should add my dad and my 'uncles' have had motorbikes since the age of 16 but more on that another day.
Sorry I am getting off track a bit now, the point of this post is to show you my motorbike jumper. It may not be fashionable and it may look like a wee boys jumper but the fact of the matter is I love it. It means a lot to me not just because it looks kind of like my dads but my dad searched for the pattern for me and I think my Nana was fair chuffed that I specifically asked for 'A red and black motorbike jumper like my dads.'
Family means so much to me and it may not be 'cool' or 'in trend' but this jumper like all the things my Nana knits me means the world to me :)
