For anyone who has
read my blog in the past especially the posts about my Fabulous jumpers (look
at any post with the label 'A Nanas touch'), you will realise that family is
very important to me.
I may not have the
biggest family in the world but we are very close and I have a lot of family
friends that are also known as my Auntie and Uncles that I love with all my
heart I don’t know what I would do without them. My sister and I are very lucky
girls to have so many Uncles a lot of them have motorbikes which is very cool
but even cooler my Mums Brothers travel the world.
As a young girl I
have these amazing memories of them coming home at New Year with a new Chinese
dress or dolls from all over the world, all of them different all of them
special. They didn’t come home very often but when they did it was always fun
filled...
I am writing this
post as I sit on the bus travelling home to see my family as very sadly my Mums
Brother, my Uncle David passed away on
Friday morning. He was an amazing man he saw so many places, he could speak so
many languages and always had something interesting to tell you. He lived such
a full life but still had so much more to see and do.
I will leave you on
this note; Life is short and if you are away at Uni or travelling the world
remember to live life to the full, regret nothing and most of all cherish the
moments you have with your family. If you see them once a year or everyday it
is their wee stories and your memories that mean the most.
Uncle Johnny, Uncle David, Mummy Marjory and Sister Marjory |
Love a fancy dinner :) |
